Spartanburg Wofford College, home of training camp the panther

Wofford College, founded in 1854, is a liberal arts college located in Spartanburg, South Carolina. It is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Located a few blocks north of the central business district of Spartanburg, the campus was designated as a Historic District National in 1974. Roger Milliken Wofford Arboretum includes over 150 acres of trees, a green oasis in an urban environment.

The university has an academic program excellent. Bachelor's degree in letters are awarded in 26 major areas of study. Wofford Also offers pre-professional programs in education, engineering, law, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, and ministry.

Wofford has a strong athletics program. Seventeen men and women teams competing in the NCAA Division I sports including football, basketball, baseball, soccer, tennis and golf. Wofford is a member of the Southern Conference.

There are approximately 1,400 students enrolled at Wofford College. Ninety-four percent of students live in campus housing. Options include new homes, apartment-style, traditional as well as several residences.

The Carolina Panthers football team, 2010 will be his training camp at Wofford College from July 28 to August 18. All training sessions are free and open to the public.
